Mazda Winning Global Recognition

Mazda has been building momentum with its reputation for building well designed, driver centric, powerful vehicles and this car brand shows no sign of slowing down. This year at the 2016 World Car of the Year awards Mazda was presented with several honors. Being the only auto maker to be nominated in the World Car of the Year and World Car design of the Year categories Mazda advanced to the finals in both. The 2016 Mazda CX-3 was a finalist for 2016 World Car Design of the year and the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata drove away with the honor of winning both the 2016 World Car of the Year and 2016 World Car Design of the Year titles.

“What a wonderful honor it is to have two of our current vehicles nominated for such prestigious global accolades,” said Masahiro Moro, President and CEO, Mazda North American Operations, and Managing Executive Officer, Mazda Motor Corporation. “We pushed the boundaries of what people thought possible with our KODO—Soul of Motion design language, and these awards are wonderful proof that we are on the right track.”

This is the second year in a row that Mazda has been presented with the World Car of the Year award. Along with these incredible honors you can find Mazda on the 2017 Car and Driver 10Best Trucks and SUV list, 2017 Car and Driver 10Best List, The Car Connection’s Best Convertible to Buy for 2017, 2017 Best Car Brand by U.S. News and World Report, and so much more.
